Nockover Show Stand

	During the 1980s Field Target shooting became more and more popular and the need for a reliable target which could be trusted by competitors became obvious. Many clever individual targets were made by clubs and a number of manufactured targets became available.

Having formed the Basingstoke Air Rifle and Pistol Club in 1975 Derek Peckover was amongst those designing targets and he eventually took out a patent to cover the “over centre” mechanism which is the basis of the Nockover field target.
	Targets are made with great precision

	Accepted and approved by the British Field Target Association Nockover quickly became the standard competition target used in all major events from Norway to Scotland and Germany to USA.

The invention of second shot resetting targets a few years later provides cordless practice and fun targets never before experienced by air gun shooters.

Today Derek is still devising new and improved targets in the modest 500 sq/ft manufacturing unit in Basingstoke.

Derek is still competing today.... but only when it's warm and dry now !
